- Revenue Management Executive of the Year
- Hospitality Professional of the Year
- Sales Executive of the Year
- Marketing Executive of the Year
- General Manager of the Year
Nominees for all categories must demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, be recognized as an outstanding industry leader and consistently support the HSMAI Greater New York Chapter. Nominees should exhibit exceptional direction, initiative, and exude enthusiasm for their work. Nominees do not have to be members of HSMAI to be nominated and win.
Frank W. Berkman Tourism Achievement Award
A person or organization may be nominated for the HSMAI Frank W. Berkman Tourism Achievement Award. The person or organization must be nominated by a member of HSMAI Greater NY Chapter, accept the nomination, and complete a Nomination Consideration form.
Revenue Management Executive of the Year
Nominees for Revenue Management Executive of the Year must have held the title of Director of Revenue Management, Vice President of Revenue Management or similar title (such as Vice President/Area) for a minimum of one year at their current company. Nominees must also have responsibility for either multiple properties or have a direct report who is a revenue manager, revenue analyst or reservations manager.
Hospitality Professional of the Year
Nominees for Hospitality Professional of the Year must have held their current title or have been with their current employer for a minimum of one year. Nominees are not limited to hotel or property level positions, and may be an employee or principal of a hotel management company, ownership company, PR firm, marketing firm, supplier company, consultant or any vendor related to the hospitality industry.
Sales Executive of the Year
Nominees for Sales Executive of the Year must be actively employed in sales management in the hospitality industry for a minimum of one year and have responsibility for one or more hospitality-related organizations.
Marketing Executive of the Year
Nominees for Marketing Executive of the Year must have held the title of Vice President or Director of Marketing for a minimum of one year and have responsibility for one or more hospitality-related organizations.
General Manager of the Year
Nominees for General Manager must currently be working as a general manager, managing director, chief operating officer or similar position, responsible for a single or multi-property lodging business and must have held their current title or been with their current employer for a minimum of one year.
